There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in LNB. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 5 in the LNB took place in Santo Domingo. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Soles (2-5) to fourth ranked Marineros (4-3) 97-94 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Soles. The best player for the winners was forward Anderson Mirambeaux (203-1999, college: Miami, OH) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands power forward Rakeem Christmas (206-1991, college: Syracuse) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized American Luis Martinez (198-1984, college: William Pater.) produced 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Marineros have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Soles at the other side dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Marineros are looking forward to face Metros (#6) in Santiago in the next round. Soles will play at home against Titanes and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Marineros have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Titanes at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Caneros. Marineros will play against Metros (#6) in Santiago in the next round. Titanes will play on the road against Soles in Santo Domingo and hope to get back on the winning track.

Emmitt Williams stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Terry Larrier responded with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Metros moved-up to sixth place. Loser Titanes dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Caneros. Metros will meet higher ranked Marineros (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Titanes will play against Soles in Santo Domingo and hope to secure a win.

Metros were defeated by Soles in Santo Domingo 81-71. Caneros beat Leones at home 80-63. Indios lost to undefeated Reales on the opponent's court 84-98.

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Titanes (3-3) against fourth ranked Marineros (4-3) on Friday night. Visiting Titanes were defeated by Marineros in Puerto Plata 89-72. Marineros players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Metros' (3-5) road loss to sixth ranked Soles (2-5) 71-81 on Friday. Naturalized American Luis Martinez (198-1984, college: William Pater.) stepped up and scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Oliver Liriano chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Martinez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Soles players scored in double figures. American forward Emmitt Williams (198-1998, college: LSU, agency: BMS Sport Agency) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard SirJabari Rice (193-1998, college: Texas) scored 15 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Soles went down to seventh position due to points difference. Loser Metros dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Soles will meet at home higher ranked Titanes (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Metros will play against Marineros in Puerto Plata and hope to secure a win.

No shocking result in a game in La Romana where fifth ranked Caneros (3-3) defeated bottom-ranked Leones (1-5) 80-63 on Thursday. Eusebio Suero stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Raimer Santana (183-1997, agency: BMS Sport Agency) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. Four Caneros players scored in double figures. Nicaraguan forward Jean Quezada (-2000) responded with 7 points and 11 rebounds and Kevin Perez scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Caneros moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Titanes. Leones lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Caneros will meet at home league's leader Reales in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
